Frequently asked questions

How can I reset my password?

Password Reset

If you have forgotten your password or if you are having troubles logging in, double check your credentials first and if the issue persists, reset your password by clicking on “I can’t sign in or I forgot my password” in the Login form:

 1) Enter your account email address;
 2) Click ‘Send me reset instructions';
 3) Go to your inbox (check your Spam folder as well) and find an email from Timeneye: follow the e-mail instructions.

Change Your Password

If you want to change your password, click on the Account drop-down menu and click on Preferences. Make sure to enter your new password in the Change Password section twice.

Can I join a team if I already have a Timeneye account?

If you’d like to join an existing team but you already have a Timeneye account, you should export your current data and delete your account as at the moment we do not currently support an “import an existing user” feature.

After deleting your account, you should ask an Admin of the team to invite you by going on Users and select Add User choosing Add New.

Can I share a project between two accounts?

Projects can be only shared among members of the same team. A project cannot be shared between two different accounts: for example the user John Doe who subscribed to a Free Account cannot share his project “Website” with the user Richard Madigan, subscribed to another free account.

In order to work on the project “Website” the two users have be part of the same team.

How can I be appointed as Admin?

The current Admin of the Account can appoint another user as Admin, by simply clicking on Team management from the Admin Menu, and then by checking “IS ADMIN” next to the user’s name.

Can I purchase my plan without a PayPal account?

Yes! You can make your payment with debit or credit card directly without having to use Paypal: simply click on the green “Credit Card” option button and insert your credit card details.

Also, PayPal allows payments with Debit or Credit Card without having to set up an account, but always using PayPal as a payment processor.When you’re about make your payment, simply select “Pay with a debit or credit card, or PayPal Credit” and then proceed in entering your data.

Where can I see your future roadmap?

Check out our public development board to see what are we currently working on our  Timeneye Development board - keep an eye on the  “Upcoming features/fixes” card, as this is where we let you know what we are going to add to the next Timeneye release. Where can I submit a feature request?

Do you have an idea for a cool new feature of Timeneye that you think could help thousands of users to make time tracking even better?

If you have a feature you would love to see in Timeneye, we’d be happy to hear it! Just know that we may not be able to work on it right away—or ever, if it turns out that it doesn’t line up with our big-picture goals for the platform. For those big-picture feature requests and ideas, feel free to send an email to [email protected]. We usually forward all feature requests to our developers so don’t be afraid to be too specific!

If you want to see where we are going at the moment and which features are coming up next have a look at our public Trello board.

I try to start a timer with the Timeneye button but it keeps asking me to log in. Why?

If you’re trying to start a Timeneye by using the little Timeneye button, but the widget freezes to the log in form, it’s possible that you have third party cookies blocked on Google Chrome.

Here is a quick guide on how to enable them:

  • Open Google Chrome;
  • At the top right, click   Settings;
  • At the bottom, click Show advanced settings;
  • In the “Privacy” section, click Content settings;
  • Go to the “Cookies” section;
  • To allow third-party cookies, uncheck the box next to “Block third-party cookies and site data.”
